Let’s get to know your P140K Community School Team:

CSD Ms. Judith K. Dean is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with 30 years of experience working with children and families. Judith is the former Executive Director of the NYC Department of Education’s Central Office of Parent Engagement; She has directed Social Service programs in the shelter system, for the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and for New York Foundling. Judith directed a School-Based Mental Health Program in Brownsville, Brooklyn at P.S./I.S. 284 and ran an attendance improvement program at the Academy for Urban Planning in Bushwick. Judith is a former Adjunct professor of Social Work at Hunter College School of Social Work. She looks forward to working with all the members of P140K to reduce and eliminate barriers to a healthy and effective education for all children.

FCRC Ms. Marisol Patel is a certified Health & Nutrition Educator and family strengthening specialist with over 16 years of healthcare experience in emergency medicine for the mental health department. Marisol specializes in community advocacy and civic engagement and believes that leaders are created in our own backyards. Marisol is pursuing a master’s degree in Health & Communications for social change, in hopes of creating equitable opportunities for all families. Marisol believes that everyone should have the opportunity to grow, build, & evolve, no matter where you come from or what you may look like. She looks forward to modeling the change she wants to see in the world and is glad to do so in collaboration with Replications and the wonderful team at P140K.
